Good Morning Ladies

 I have been reading post on this site for the last few months and just couldnt take the time to join because my questions were normally answered by other post (which I am very thankful for).  I had a miscarriage about 5 weeks and 5 days ago at approximately 6 weeks along.  Today I have my first appointment with my OBGYN and I think I am pregnant again (I have taken 3 at home test and they are all positive).  I guess panic is starting to set in because I cant bare to go through what happened last month and I just need a little reassurance like an early ultrasound or extra bloodwork.  I dont exactly know what I am searching for I am just nervous.  Are OBs supposed to do anything extra or are the "rules" different after you had a loss?  Sorry if I am posting what has already been discussed I guess I just need to hear from other woman who have been through this too.  Thank you all in advance and thank you for all your other post they have been beyond helpful!

I am so sorry for your loss, but congrats on your BFP. Being PGAL is certainly a very different experience. Most OB's won't do anything differently if you've only experienced one loss unless you ask or if you start having concerning symptoms. One thing you can ask is to have HcG Beta testing, which tests to make sure your hormone levels are going up at a decent rate. Fingers crossed for you to have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Thank you so much for your well wishes and your response.  I know I am just stressing myself out but since I took the hpts my mind has been racing a million miles a minute!  I will ask the doctor today when I go in about getting the beta testing because any and all reassurance will help alleviate the stress!
