TWW

We are officially in our first two week wait. It's not as stressful as I thought it would be, I was worried we would be biting at the bit. I do have a question though, it's been two days and J is nauseous, both ovaries have been hurting and she's having A LOT more discharge than normal and it's also a lot thicker. Can these be side effects of inseminations? We've ruled out yeast infections and other infections so anyone have similar experiences?

Re: TWW

  • I've never had those symptoms from insems.  Maybe a little cramping day of, but that's it.  And it's too early for pregnancy symptoms so...not sure?  Maybe just phantom symptoms?

  • I am currently in my first TWW as well. I am dpo 10 and this has been a hard process for me. I have wanted to know what's going on in my body. I wrote about it in my blog. Anyways....

Have you called your doctor? I know that I was cramping and was concerned that my body was reacting negatively to the donor sperm. I went in and I was told that everything was fine.

  • Hello, I'm J, as mentioned. :) I havent called our doctor yet. It's early yet so I assumed it was just me making symptoms up, or just nerves. I figured I'd know in two weeks when either AF visited or she decided to take a vacation :)

  • Well hope that you start to feel better soon.
  • I've never had any of those of symptoms, especially that early even on the cycles I got pregnant. I do have some cramping right after the IUI but it's gone within an hour of the appointment. my guess is she's just hyper aware of everything, I know I was second guessing every little thing I felt and noticing things that I wouldn't have normally during the first TWW.
  • Waiting is so hard! I hope you get a BFP! If you are 10DPO you *could* try an early pregnancy test. Never hurts! The Dollar Store tests seem to give people good early results.
