Infertility

Opinions pls

We went to the clinic today for the first time and the staff were so nasty and rude. When we left I got a call from some nurse I didt know telling me my bloodwork wasn't there. I asked what she was talking about and she said my infectious disease stuff, I said that my OB sent it to them(FYI it was the 3rd time it was sent). She said well I don't have it and gave me a whole speech about how the OB prob does different blood work,I said no that she did exactly what the dr wanted. So the. I say with all due respect please look again because this is an ongoing problem with the blood work, guess what she hung up on me. I was so aggravated I almost started crying in the street. Then some other dumbass called me about something else. Finally DH told me to call the office manager because things were out of hand. So I called her and she apologized and said she would see what was going on. I then get a call from my I've nurse saying they have everything except one thing which they lost. So of course I had to call my poor OB's sec again and she said she had a feeling they would screw up again. Fast forward to tonight there was a note from the RE reading me the riot act about getting the blood work in. I am so mad that no one communicates with each other I want to write him and tell him what is going on. Do you think I should?

Re: Opinions pls

  • Geesh!  sounds like a three ring circus!  I would be so frustrated,  I probably would call him and let it all out.  My big concern would be when you are mid-cycle, are they going to "forget" to call you about doses etc.... You should feel confident in everyone you are working with.  I hope it all gets cleared up fast!  GL!

  • I would set the doc straight on what has actually transpired. Then, if at all possible, I would find another RE. You need to be able to trust and be comfortable with every member of your RE's team. It does not sound like this is going to be possible for you. If this how they are treating you, I would not stay there. Good luck with everything and shame on them!

I'm with Gregermis. Sounds like a highly unprofessional staff. And for the RE to give you crap about not having you blood work would be unacceptable to me. Are there any other REs in your area? IF is tough enough by itself and you shouldn't feel like you have battle the RE's office staff just to get routine things done. If you're limited in RE choices and need to stay with this one, then I would absolutely tell the RE about the mishaps/miscommunications. Good luck

  • Yes, definitely call the RE. If they can't coordinate simple b/w, how are they going to deal with stims? You deserve to feel confident in the people providing your care. So sorry you had this rotten experience.
    Baby girl Lila born 2013.
    Baby boy Henry born 2015.
Expecting our capstone baby (boy) early March 2018.
  • That's horrible.  I would definitely talk to the RE and say that you are considering changing clinics due to the incompetence.

  • {{HUGS}} I have all of my drs offices OB/ PCP send me the paper work and I then fax it to my RE. This way I KNOW the RE received it, and I have a copy just in case another copy is needed.

  • I am so sorry that you have to deal with incompetent AZZHOLES!!!!!  The next time you go into the office and actually get to see the RE I would let him how much trouble you have had with his office staff and the fact that you OB has had to send over your results 3 times and that you do not appreciate the rude and nasty attitudes from his staff.  I would also remid him/her that you are paying a pretty penny for all of his services and you should be treated as such.  I would also as your OB to give you a copy of all of your lab results so that you have a copy of your own that you can take with and have the office make a copy as the need to.  I would also put all the problems you have been having in a letter to the iffce manager.  I hope things get better for you real soon.
