How many newborn diapers did you go through?

I have a growth scan tomorrow to see how big the boys are, but 2 weeks ago A was 4.10 and B was 5.9. I have a few packs of newborn diapers and just saw a deal on Amazon for 12 packs of 20 newborn Pampers Swaddlers diapers for $45, but I don't want to buy them if it's going to be way too many newborn diapers.

We only used disposables for about 2 weeks or so... until their circs and cords were healed... then we went to cloth but they would have been in NB size diapers for a while longer. We easily went through over 300 diapers in that 2 weeks.

You go through 20-24 diapers a day in the beginning - stock up!

get them! we used about 11-13 diapers per baby each day as newborns!

10 a day per baby... but one of my boys was just under 8lbs at birth so he went to size 1 after about 2 weeks.

you just never know... i only stocked up if it was a GREAT deal ahead of time... b/c i have ended up giving away diapers when i had too many and they changed sizes.

~20/day=150/wk for several weeks. Newborns usually fit up to nearly ten lbs., so they could be in them for a bit. We had quite a few to start, but ended up using preemies until their cords fell off, then ordered more as needed until a few wks ago when they moved to size ones. Amazon gets us more next day...

My girls were 6.10 and 7 lbs when born and we used NB diapers for about 3 weeks.  We went through 10-12 diapers per day per baby!  Now we go through about 6 diapers a day for each girl.

We probably went through about 8-10 a day each for about 4 weeks. So, if you figure 20 a day x 30 days = 600 diapers! Also, keep in mind you may have to get preemie size. We had to buy some preemies when we got home, because E was only 4 lbs 6 oz.

I'm glad you posted this! I did the math yesterday and with an average of 20/day I have enough NB size for 35 days, and enough size 1 for 56 days. So I'm thinking I should get a few more boxes of NB if they're on sale. Can you share the link to the deal on Amazon you're referring to? Thanks!

We went through more than most I think: about 25-32 diapers a day for the first week when we used disposables. So total, around 200 a week! And at Target I think we were paying $10 per 20 pack of NB so we spent around $100 for a week of diapers! Thank goodness we switched to cloth quickly!
