TTC after 35

hello... board rules?

(ticker warning)

Hi all!

I frequent my local Nest board but I was hoping to dip in here, as we're TTC #3. Before I do, I was wondering if you could let me know what the board etiquette is here (what warnings are appropriate, forbidden topics, etc). As a newbie, I want to be very sure that I do not hurt any pre-existing members by accidental insensitivity.

Thank you!

Re: hello... board rules?

  • Welcome to the board, and good luck.  Thanks for asking about the rules.  I'd say the main one is don't post a BFP if you've seldom posted before and we don't know you (what we call a "drive by") -- announce on Pregnant After 35 instead.  Generally be aware that there are a number of ladies on here that have been trying for a while without success (though many others have moved on relatively quickly!).   But don't worry.  The ladies on here are pretty tolerant and we're one of the lower-drama boards.  There's lots of great support and advice here.
  • Welcome. I'm not aware of any rules. I think it's best to keep in mind that even if you can't relate, it's helpful to be supportive.

I see you have your location set to Palo Alto. I also live on the Peninsula and even rented an apartment in Palo Alto a few years ago. We're up in RWC now.

Good luck! I hope your stay is short and sweet.

  • Welcome, like the other ladies have said we are basically a drama free board.  Ask anything you want and most are very open to their own experiences.  However, once you get a BFP, move on to Pregnant after 35.  It will be your new home board Big Smile

  • Welcome and good luck!

Hi! I actually live in RWC -- I had my location set to PA when I worked there but I've since changed jobs and now am working in San Mateo. :)

  • Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'm glad to be here!
