LO dropping

When is that supposed to happen? I think my LO has already dropped or is starting to drop. Should I be concerned?? I'm 32 weeks today, Sorry for the lame, FTM question, I am just super paranoid about PTL.

I am not sure I ever dropped..are you feeling anything else that makes you worried .. and MISS YOU!

I miss you too!!! I can't wait to join you on PAL. I have had BH sporadically in the last week or two, but when I get them, my belly just stays tight and hard for while, I don't really feel seperate contractions that I noticed. I have had pelvic pressure and been crampy the last couple of days I suppose, but nothing too exciting. Someone at work commented that I look like I have dropped and when I said I still had 8 weeks left, she seemed surprised. Other then that just an overall sense of paranoia and fear that I am going to go early lol.

This baby dropped around 32 or 33 weeks, but I havent dialated or anything.  They can drop long before labor starts.

All the books I have read says it's "most commonly" the last 2-4 weeks...but I have seen people say here they experienced it earlier.  I don't think my LO has dropped yet.  Do you think it's possible your LO just repositioned and it feels like he/she dropped?

I don't think I've dropped yet and I'm at 37 weeks. I've heard some women drop right before labor, but it's totally an individual thing. Id probably mention it to your doc, but it might not be anything!

Right at the beginning of the 3rd Trimester my daughter went head-down and low (not sure if she "dropped").  I noticed the difference primarily because of the pressure AND the bladder control issues (no I'm not peeing myself but I felt like I was dribbling fluid).  Since that time she's been head-down and still awfully low.  As a matter of fact she's so low that I can feel the pressure on my cervix.  So if that means she's "dropped" then I guess she's been that way for a while now and my doctor hasn't shown an ounce of concern.  I'm sure everything is just fine for you too!

While I am a FTM too, my sister's daughter around 33 or 34 weeks. She had to be induced at almost 40 weeks since she wasn't dilated when her water broke. I agree with williams4me, is it possible that LO just repositioned?

I didn't know dropping that early was possible?  I know that just in the past week or so for me, LO is making lots of movements way down at the bottom on the uterus almost like I get a sudden urge to clench my legs to make sure she's not fighting her way out.  This happened to me with DS, too, though and I never dropped with him at all.  We were still -3 when I was induced and he stopped at 0 during the process, so he really never dropped.  My MW said what I was feeling was normal and happens as the baby gets longer.  My guy was 22 inches long and I'm only 5'2, so a long baby in a short mama can make it feel like they're on their way out, even when you're not near 40 weeks yet.

I was wondering the same thing.   At about 30 wk when we went in for our re-do 4D u/s... LO had turned head down and seemed like he was ready.  Everyone said I looked a bit low ad that he dropped but OB didn't say anything 2 wk ago, so we'll see what Wed. brings when I go - maybe OB can tell me.    I don't have too much pressure, but do feel like going pee more frequent and this morning I thought I felt my tummy go hard 2 different times, w/ slight cramps.    I was wondering if those were BH, but kinda thought it was hard to tell.

My LO dropped at 32/33 weeks, so you may have very well dropped. I walked like I had a bowling ball between my legs the entire rest of the PG. I was induced at 38w for (unrelated) blood pressure issues, but LO dropped even lower the day before I was induced. I didn't think he could drop any lower than he did at 32/33 weeks.
