i know there was another girl on the board who had a mom like mine (insane!) but it's been so long since we posted about it, i forgot who it was? i kind of need to talk. to someone that understands. that probably sounds weird, but it's getting worse with my mom. so if you are out there, here's my email

Hugs!  I'm not an only child but am a member of the crazy mom's club (or so I've coined it.)  If you can't find your other half - I'm happy to talk as well. I've dealt w/ a lot and can always lend an ear and advice if needed.

omg i just wanna hug you! after i re-read my post, i thought--wow,  i really sounded crazy! but desperate times, call for desperate measures, right? i just don't have the time and energy to go back to therapy, but i do need some support or someone to vent to. i can feel my chest tightening today and it's been awhile since that anxiety took hold of me. booo.  if she doesn't email me, then i would like to email you. i'm glad i'm not in the crazy mom club alone

My mom and I's relationship is great now (actually it's probably the best it's ever been) but right after my dad passed away and after I got married I had a REALLY rough time with her.  Once my son was out and she held him, she's pretty much been an angel since then.  There have been a few rough patches, but not between *us*, just difficult things we've each had to deal with.  And now this stuff with my brother has her really anxious and scared.

Yep, count me in the club, too (though I have 2 sisters). I'm actually reading a book about narcissistic moms and daughters with messed up relationships with them. So sad, but so relevant to my life that I'm really enjoying reading it because I feel like someone understands. I'll happily give you my e-mail or phone # if you need/want it.
