My mom wants to get some books for a friend's grandbabies. Ages NB, 3 +5. I have my favorites for babies, but what about 3-5 age range? I'd love to hear recs (and collect them for my own use as well as DD gets older). TIA!
Skippyjon Jones books (A loves these; I never would have picked them out but they had them at her school)
Zoomer books
Magic Tree House series (These you have to read to them; really for 5+ - but the stories are great and A just turned 5 in January and loves them; I think 4-5 is a great age to start reading these to them and they would last for years and years.)
DD loves the Ladybug Girl books and we have given some as gifts.
She likes the Olivia books too because she LOVES animals, but Olivia is a bratty little thing, IMO, and I wouldn't have picked the books for DD. Now you've been warned.
We have several "collections" type books with tons of stories in them and the kids love to flip through and pick different stories. I think the idea of so many stories in one book gets them really excited. B&N had Treasury for Two-year-olds and Treasury for Four-year-olds on sale last year, so that's what they got in their Easter baskets.

Press Here is adorable and Steven loves this book.
The Pirate Treasure Race is one of Steven's favs right now, but I can't find it online anywhere.
