BLUE! I knew it, I knew it! I've had nothing but boy dreams, and could only picture LO as a boy as an outside baby. Although I thought I wanted a girl when I was pg with the 1st baby, I have really gotten attached to the idea of a little boy throughout this pregnancy. DH is so over the moon thrilled! I know he really wanted a little guy, although he would have been putty in the hands of a little girl. MIL was at our appt too, and she's thrilled because this is her first grandson. She already has a granddaughter. I'm thrilled b/c I might actually have some maternal intuition, and LO was dancing around and flipping everywhere during the appt. We got to see all 4 chambers of his heart, see his developing little brain, his stomach, kidneys, and bladder. Tech said all appeared to be functioning very nicely and normally. Got such a good close up of his little feet that we could even see the toes! It was pretty obvious that he's a little boy, too! Even I could see it, and I'm not so great at looking at u/s! I wouldn't say I'm confident yet that this pregnancy is going to end well, but I fell a hell of a lot better after today.
Only sad thing is that I really miss my mom, and wish she could be here to go through this with me (she died of cancer two years ago). I feel like I want to tell her about the appt, but I'm sure she already knows. Ok, this post is too long, thanks for listening, and happy monday! This is the best Monday I've had in a while!
