Kira vs Keira? and middle name suggestions?

My DH loves it spelled as Kira, but I feel that it is more common/popular nowadays as Keira?  Thoughts?

and MN choices are as follows...top contenders after various clicky polls, LOL:)

If you spell it Keira I think people are going to pronounce it differently than you intend. I don't think the original spelling is so popular that you will have any problems.

I like Kira Charlotte the best out of all your choices.

How do you want it pronounced?

I prefer Keira (KEER-uh) because Kira (KEYE-ruh) reminds me of an awful person I know. Also, I just think it's a harsher sounding name in general.

I think Keira Brooke is really pretty.

Keira by a mile!!  I do not at all care for Kira.  I think you will get the same pronounciation with either spelling.  I like Charlotte or Morgan for a mn.  I would stay away from a mn that starts with a vowel.

I pronounce these two names differently. I pronounce Kira with the "eye" sound. I like all your MN's.

Why thank you for asking, but no, this is like my Second time posting on this message board regarding the name Kira...and this time, I wanted some advice on which is the more preferred spelling of the name.  I was unaware that there was a limit to how many posts one person can write on the same topic in a short timeframe.  If you'd rather not offer advice that is helpful, please refrain.

No one on this board likes misspelled names. It's not even worth bothering to ask.

Spell it Keira and call it a damn day.

Post as much as you want. I was commenting on the number of times the name Keira has come up on the board lately, and wondering if they really had all come from you (they didn't...I remember now that at least one of them was from someone who already named their daughter Keira).

And you posted yesterday asking about the preferred spelling of the name, as well as the MNs. I don't understand why the same question needs to be asked to the same people four times, but to each their own.

No limit- but you do realize that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.   Therefore it doesn't make you look good to post the same thing over and over again expecting different responses.

Kira is so clearly pronounced "KEY-ra," and I think you'll get the best results with that spelling. I also like the way it looks better... Keira looks clunky to me.

I like it best with Morgan, masculinity be damned!

See, I'm the opposite. I think that Kira is very clearly pronounced KEE-rah (I know two adult Kiras who spell/ pronounce it this way). In contrast, I always want to pronounce Keira as if it's two syllables, although I know that's wrong. I much prefer Kira. It's a very pretty name!
