I had to switch my DD from in-home day care due to my DCP having health issues and not being able to watch her anymore. So DH and I decided that we would put her in an actual center from now on so that situations like this would not happen again. Well, today was her first day. I don't know why but I felt a little emotional like she is going to "school" or something. LOL!!
The director took her out of my arms & walked her around to show Giselle her new surroundings. Not once did Giselle cry, she was so into her new surroundings that she didn't even notice I left. I guess it was a good thing that I didn't see her cry or anything like that. I'll be calling them a little later to see how she is doing.
I never knew dropping my child off at a new day care can be so emotional. Jeeze, I was never this sappy before motherhood!

I never found out the real reason per se, but apparently she did notify all of the other parents via text as well. One of the days I was dropping Giselle off, as I was leaving I caught an excerpt of the conversation one of the other parents was having with the DCP. She was telling the DCP that she had already found a new place.
Oh well, I have my baby in a new place now. Hopefully this will be a long lasting relationship with the new center.
