Has anyone in the Pittsburgh area had professional maternity/newborn photos taken? I would be interested in hearing anyone's recommendations for photographers and also what the range of prices is like in our area.

I have a friend who specializes in small children and baby photos: Sean Slebrich Photography. He is Pittsburgh based. I worked with him at one time.

I used Josh Mariana Photography. Josh did an absolutely phenomenal job. I believe it was $200 for the session, including a $100 credit towards prints. I ended up with 14 4x6 and 6 5x7 photos plus a couple 8x10's. I used a girl that I found through the Bump, her name is Bekah and she owns "Through My Looking Glass Photography." You can look her up on Facebook. She is out of the Monroeville/Murrysville area, but she does on location shoots as well. It's a great deal as she doesn't do the printing yet, gives you a cd of all the pics and you can do as you please with them (no packages & having to choose between photos.) She also gives a discount if you use her for maternity photos & then newborn photos. Very relaxed and if you are picky or have your own ideas she is very open to them! It was a wonderful experience!
