DS has had reflux and been up with gas like crazyyy all week. The poor thing is miserable and the crying is making mommys life kinda miserable, too. I finally broke down and got the RnP and yesterday was our first full day with it, and my child was an entirely different baby. We had SUCH a good day, and were all smiles when Daddy got home from work for the first time in what feels like years but was probably only 5 days. I was actually LOOKING FORWARD to bedtime! So what does SO do with my fabulous, mellow baby on our very good day together? He tells me to shower and take an hour for myself and he'd get DS changed and fed and ready for bed for me. I though-- wow, hes so sweet
Fast forward 60 minutes and I find them on the bed playing, and he's trying to help him roll over by doing tummy time and giving DS's strong legs something to boost off of, and otherwise messing with him until he got all fussy about the situation and started crying. This began an entire night of my sweet, mellow DS being all riled up and pissy and not going back to sleep, which has rolled over into a fussy pissy morning, and sleeping all afternoon, and will mean he's going to be up all night again. I FINALLY got his clock on track after a recent nighttime road trip and now I'm back to square one and could kill SO! Who gets a baby riled up right before bed??!
*note: when I asked (b*tched) at him about it, he said " I missed my son, I was just playing with him" uhh.... you couldnt do that when you first got home??? bahhh
Re: wtf SO?! (vent)
That sucks. I mean it's great that he wanted to play and interact with his kid, but you have to put the kid's needs and wellbeing first. If its going to make him cranky, don't do it! Lol. Even at 1yr, I have to remind DH that (enter activity here) gets in the way of DS' nap/bed time so I would rather us not. Joys of parenting
Hope your sweet boy gets back on track and in a better mood
good luck, momma.
This exactly. lol
I completely understand. With DS and following a c-section (about a week after) DH (at that time boyfriend )'s dad and step mom came over to see baby. Ok no big, but unfortunately when they got there he was hungry and needed to be fed. Well after eating DS was out, and since I hadn't gotten much sleep in the last few weeks and it was a reasonable bedtime I laid him down and went to bed myself. Within a few minutes DH came in and got DS up because his dad and them wanted to see him now.
I was soooooo pissed!
