I'm not sure if this is just related to my c-section or if all moms get this, but I am 4 days post partum and the swelling in my ankles and legs is crazy. I can't remember from my first how long it took to go down. Anyone have insight?
I didn't have any swelling during pregnancy, but I was horribly swollen from the IV fluids during labor- not sure if you get those during a C section? It took like a week for my legs and feet to look normal again.

I'm 10 days PP and I'm just starting to notice my swelling going down...mine was really bad during pregnancy. I don't think it's uncommon for it to take some time to go away completely.
Holy cr*p I was soooo swollen after my section a had to wear DHs slippers in the hospital. It went away after about a week, just drink lots of water (counterintuitive I know, but it helps) and move around as best you can to get you body to regulate. Swelling after surgery is normal.
I had a c-section and an IV - my swelling didn't go down until about 9 or 10 days post partum. I'm happy to say though that my body is puffy free these days - so it will go away :-)
I ended up having a csection, and would say that my legs and ankles were probably swollen for at least a week after. I'd say it's normal...even if you hadn't had a csection...but eveybody's body is different.
