Thank you. We're still waiting on the test results. They had to up his dosage of morphine because he was in so much pain, and he's still having a lot of trouble breathing. They did take him off of the IV drip of blood thinner though, and instead he takes 1 pill a day and gets 2 shots per day that are both blood thinners. They're saying that they think it must be something genetic because his mom and grandpa both have a history of clotting, and he'll most likely have to be on the blood thinners his whole life. At this point they're saying they want to keep him for a few more days, then discharge him. He'll have to give himself (or I will have to give him) shots in the belly twice a day for 6 months, and he'll have to do physical therapy because there was so much damage to his lungs. He's also lost 14 lbs since he was admitted on Friday night.

Wow, that sounds pretty serous. Glad he is getting good care, and that they're monitoring him. Shots are terrible, but it sounds like they're going to save his life! I hope he makes it out of the hospital safe and sound ASAP!
Thank you so much. He's doing a little better this morning. He's even asking for solid foods, and it doesn't hurt him as much to talk or cough any more. He still can't walk or anything and he's still very weak, but I can definitely see progress! We STILL haven't gotten back the results from his tests which is frustrating, but I know they're doing the best they can.
