RCS on 3/7 and ?? Duramorph

Question for the RCS ladies: do any of you know if they used a med in ur spinal called duramorph?  I have been told to request that in my spinal, b/c it allows u to get up sooner and aids (b/c of getting up sooner) in a faster recovery, but you have to be on O2 for 24hrs after (from what I have been told) and I don't know how I feel about that???  Any suggestions or experiences anyone can share?

I had it and it was great. I was only on O2 during the surgery.

I don't mind that...I heard somewhere that your on the O2 for the next 24 hrs after surgery and I don't want that.  I want to be able to BF and to bond with my DS and I don't want O2 to be in the way

I had duramorph in my spinal and was never on Oxygen.. not even during surgery. There is also a great post a few down where lots of people shared their experience with the spinal. I would check that one out!
