What happens at your first pp appt?

I have my 6 week pp appt on Wednesday and have no idea what to expect. Anyone care to share what happened at theirs?

And did you... clean up down there? I had an episiotomy and have gone a bit more natural since giving birth, so I am not sure I want to try shaving down there.

Prepare for a pap smear and breast exam. They also look at any incisions you may have at least my obgyn did.

I have had two already and my doctor was checking on my stitches. The next one is scheduled as an annual exam. There is no way I'm shaving, I got a rash from wearing pads and it hurts! Just remember your doctor has seen it all.

I was really hoping there wouldn't be a pap, even if I knew deep down there would be. The idea of anything going in me right now makes me cringe, and I didn't even have a horrible labor!!!

I had an internal exam, but no pap since I'm not due til May.  The OB asked how I was feeling and we talked about BC.

Same but it was and I hated it, it was painful and I wanted to kick him and I had a c section. Buts its different for everyone and apparently my cervix was tightened or something hence the pain.

I didn't have a pap.  With my first I did and my OB checked everything (my stiches and stuff) but this time she just asked how I was feeling and if I felt I needed checked.  Since I feel fine and have had no issues with anything and hadn't bled since 3 weeks, I declined.  I haven't had anyone check my breasts with either pregnancy either, so every doctor is different.

I had 3 first degree tears and the pap didn't hurt for me at all. My stitches had fallen out about a week before my 6 week appointment. I did end up shaving but verryyy carefully. It wasn't too great of a job, but I agree with all the PPs about your OBGYN has seen it all!

I had an internal exam.  No pap since I had one in June - I'll go back this summer.  We talked about BC.  I cleaned up some before my appt.

Baby blues Qs, Breast exam, Pap, BC discussion at my office.  I started shaving weeks ago as soon as the swelling started to go down.
