C-section recovery question

The incision site is tender, of course. But it feels like inside is very tender, especially near the ends of the incision. It's only been 9 days so I'm assuming this is normal but just want to check. TIA.

Re: C-section recovery question

  •  I still  have tenderness internally towards the left end of my incision (1 1/2 years later).

  • I still have some tenderness too - nearly 3 months later.  After just 9 days I was really, really sore.

  • i don't remember anything like that, but i was on vicodin every 4 hours for the first 2 weeks.
  • Yep, mine was the right side.  My doc said that was the side she stands on and it gets stretched further and harder (ouch!).  The best part is that it hurts A LOT during this pg.  It is totally normal, though.
  • interesting. that's the side she stood on as well! and yes, very very sore and tender. but i'm getting around pretty normally. must be adrenaline.
  • I had sharp pains on the right side up until about 4 weeks.  It was mostly when I'd try to get out of bed though.  9 days PP, I was just sore everywhere.

I'm still numb near my incision though;  not sure if that goes away or not!

  • I honestly can't remember, but I just wanted to let you know that there is hope. ?I feel 100% recovered at this point. ?It's nice to know that I can expect to feel something at the?incision?if and when I'm pg again.
  • ditto. i'm 100% recovered.
  • Totally normal.  I still feel tenderness around one end of my incision.  Especially after running.
