Stripping Membranes

Anyone else have this done? ?Did it work at all? ?I just had it done at my appt today and my gosh it's a bit painful. ?Here's hoping a baby will come. ?I'm only 2cm and 50% effaced so it could be awhile.

I had mine done twice. The first time it did nothing. The second time she did it a little more aggressively. My apt was on a tue, my water broke Wed at 8pm and Isabelle was born at 4:32 on Thur. The second time I was very crampy and just uncomfortable that day and the next. I hope your DC comes soon!!

I had it done, and it did nothing. I hope you have better luck than I did!

I had it done about 4 times.  It did nothing for me.

and YES, it hurt ALOT!   I felt so violated.

I bribed my Dr. with chocolate chip cookies to strip mine! 

I was 2-3 cm and 50% effaced as well and I started having timeable contractions about 6 hrs after she stripped mine!  Of course, I didn't actually have DS for about 40 more hours!!  Ughhh!!  But, it did start labor for me.  

So excited for you!!  I hope it works!!

Good luck! It didn't work for me. I was 3 cm and 75% effaced at 37 weeks. She stripped them at 37, 38, 39, and 40 week appointments. I was finally induced at 41 weeks.

Mine was stripped at 3cm, 50% effaced. Hurt like hell, and she said I would bleed like a light period. Took my ds and dog to the beach for 3 hours and bled right through the pad and my pants. I had dd 14 hours after being stripped.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it hurt. ?I'm hoping these contractions I am having are the real thing and that it worked!
