I have been planning my memorial tattoo and finally found the artist I want to do the tattoo. We have been e-mailing back and forth and he is booked until July, so I was hoping to get in at some point in August. I figured I wanted to make sure I loved the artist and would rather wait for him than go to someone else. So I just got an e-mail today that he can fit me in at the end of March!!!! I am sooo excited! He is very selective and takes projects that interest him, so he either finds the tattoo I want interesting, or our story. Either way I am happy that I don't have to wait so long! Just wanted to share. :-)

Cherrycobbler- it was a bit intimidating, but I want the tattoo done before we start TTC again, so I decided to really sit down and do some research. I live near Chicago and just started doing research on the most reputable parlors and then looked at individual artists' work. Then I contacted him. Good luck!
I decided on getting a butterfly on my right shoulder/back. I have my consult on March 10th and want to see what he says, but right now I am picturing a mostly black and white tattoo with a bit of purple shading. I also want it to be personalized but am going to ask him how to do that- either with Annabelle's initials/name/or her dates. I want it somehow incorporated in the butterfly so I don't have words around it. Does that make sense? I will definitely show pics when it's done!
I have a tattoo of a turtle on my foot for Quincy. One of the turtle's back feet is a lower case cursive q. It's very subtle and very elegant. I love it!
Yes, thats exactly what I'm thinking but in butterfly form! I'm excited to see what he suggests.
