First, I want to put out a disclaimer. Our babies do not scream/cry very much. My heart goes out to the women who have babies who cry most of the day. I read your posts and say a prayer for you (and a prayer of thanks for my babies). Justin had the best idea, so I thought I would pass it on.
Inspired by the ladies who suggest ear plugs...EAR PHONES/BUDS!! (Attached to an iPod, of course.) Walter screams for a few hours every night and is inconsolable. The only thing that sometimes works is singing, but the family lullaby that I sang to them while pregnant has gotten REALLY old. Thinking of a different song while a baby is screaming in your face isn't easy, either. It took the edge off, plus I had a whole iPod worth of songs to sing to him while we walked/danced around the house.
Hope it helps someone out there!!
