Hey ladies! I spent my first pg here, having success after our second IVF attempt. This time, I'm happy to so say, we had luck on our own. It was my 2nd pp cycle, with iffy timing. Not really trying, but not preventing either. We dealt with MFI, my DH had about 5 million count before and after a failed surgery to try to fix his varicocele. Of those 5 million only about half were motile and the morph was questionable too. We never were given a specific category, but I'd say pretty moderate MFI.

So, while you always hear stories, which now, I am included in, I still never thought it would happen. People love to tell you how pg changes things and makes it easier in some cases, but shiit, I never thought it would be a factor with us since it didn't affect DH at all. However, we knew there was a super slim chance, less than 10%, and went for it. We are shocked, excited, and just thrilled!

    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    Yeah, it would be amazing if pregnancy could fix MFI LOL~  But looks like one of those swimmers was good enough.  YAY!

    DX: Azoospermia
    3 unmedicated IUI's, 1 with Clomid - all unsuccessful. Moving on to DIVF #1-BFP 5dp5dt!!! 1st Beta 1/23- 269!! Beta #2 1/26 - 882!!! Beta #3 1/30- 4,250!!! 1st ultrasound 2/10 showed TWINS!!! Found out on May 2nd we are having BOYS!

    Congratulations!  We also dealt with MFI and a failed varicocele surgery.  My DH's numbers actually got a lot worse following the surgery.  We moved on to adoption and then got a surprise bfp a few months into the adoption process.  We do have a daughter who is almost 4 and did not have trouble conceiving her.  I really do think that male sperm counts can fluctuate greatly through a man's life and possibly that is why we went through such a long drought (24 straight months of trying before the bfp) or maybe it just takes that magic month where one good sperm really is enough.  Either way, congratulations!!
