child support from prison

Looks like BD will probably be going to prison.  I don't receive child support from him now even though he works, but can I get child support when he is locked up and not working?

My XH was in prison for 2 years and I didn't get anything during that time.  However, now that he is on parole until 2015 they make sure he keeps a job and I do get child support now.

I think it depends on where you live and if the baby's dad get a job inside the jail/prison. I have a friend in the state i live in, her XH recently got a job working at the prison and they take so much out of his pay a week to give her for child support. She gets about $2 a week from it, but she says while it's not a lot it's better than nothing.
