MIL has said on 2 different occasions that DS smiled at her. This pisses me off so much because he hadn't smiled at me yet and I keep telling her he is probably just peeing or pooping which he is but she doesn't believe me. It pisses me off because she won't leave it alone. Ugh! She also doesn't let anyone else hold him when she is around and will follow whoever does have him around waiting for him to cry so she can take him from them, including me and DH! I am getting so possessive of my baby, but mostly just around her.

I know these are petty things but, I just need to vent.  Deja vu... I am pretty sure I said this in another post about MIL!

I was nursing dd in my bedroom and when I went to burp her she was fussing and mil came in to my room and asked if I wanted her to take the baby. It made me so mad! I wasn't possessive at all when my mom was here, only with mil.

We all seem to have the same woman for a MIL. Mine won't put down ANY baby that is near. It's so frustrating to be do possessive of my own child around just one person! Anyone else...I will hand him over in a heartbeat. But her.... grrrrrr! She hovers and makes up nicknames, even though she knows we aren't giving him one. That may be my biggest pet peeve... his name does not end in -y or -ers or -ster. Dont make me tell you again, woman!

Luckily, I haven't had to deal with MIL yet except for over the phone - but she is coming this weekend.

I plan on pulling out the "this is our routine" card to take DS back when she's getting too clingy with him.
