"I can't believe you're out in public!"

This is what DH's boss said to me today when I dropped by his work so we could go out to lunch together. Could not even believe it. Am I supposed to be home in bed pretty much indefinitely twiddling my thumbs until I go into labor?? She herself (his boss) has I believe a 10 month old or somewhere around there and is currently pregnant again. However, she had her first somewhere in the 38 week range so I guess she figures I'm for sure about to explode at any minute or something considering I'm 2 days before my due date. Honestly, I don't feel like LO is going anywhere fast, although of course I hope like crazy I'm wrong. Anyone else getting INSANE comments lately?

  • Not quite as insane-- but my in laws asked a couple of times if I was still work-- umm why wouldn't I be?

  • I haven't really had any comments, I just get people staring at me like they are judging me because I'm not at home waiting. It's pretty rare that people go in to labour in public, then the baby just falls out, so I just do my best to ignore them.
  • You'll go crazy sitting home waiting, what a dumb comment by his boss! I made a point of gettin out and about on my due date and then ended up going into labour the next day. When I went out it was fun to tell people who asked when I was due that today was the EDD. The looks were priceless. Keep busy and your babe will be here before you know it.
