Parenting after a Loss

Teething Sucks!

It really does and I know that this is just the beginning :(  I feel so bad for my little guy and when he nurses now it feels like he's biting down a little I'm like gasping for air the first couple minutes it hurts so bad.  Any suggestions or things that worked for you?  I just gave him some tylenol and we've been playing with soft chewy toys and wash cloths all day I keep trying to get him to chew on those instead of his little hands :)

  • The only thing that worked for us was knowing it wouldn't last forever.  And motrin/tylenol.  ((hugs))  I know it is awful.

  • It sucks hard core.  My DD just started at 13 months, and boy it is a doosey.  I am hoping for a better day today...I haven't found the answer but if you do let me know!

  • It totally stinks - we are right there with you!

Aside from tylenol as needed, during the day we offer her a piece of frozen watermelon, honeydew or cantaloupe in one of those mesh feeders.  She goes to down on that thing.  Between the cold fruit and the texture of the mesh it seems to help her to be more comfortable.
