For various reasons that aren't important here, I had planned on having DD's MMR vaccine split into 3 separate vaccines. But, at our appt yesterday, my pedi told us that the vaccine is no longer made that way - it's a one shot deal now and that's the only option. Has anyone else been told this?
thanks!
Re: is it true: MMR can't be split?
It can be split, so they are not telling you the truth. I got JUST a ruebella (the R in MMR) vaccine two years ago, so I know they can split it. I had to pay for it though and it was $56.
If you are not comfortable getting the MMR all together then maybe you need to call around and find an office that will do it. With all the alternate vaccine schedules out there these days there should be no reason why they will not do it the way you want.
