Cloth Diapering

starting solids poo and liners

DS has sticky gooey poo now that he is eating solids; its definitely not plop-able. I thought maybe the disposable liners in his poo diapers might make clean up easier. I received a sample of a few with a diaper package and have a few questions.  They are perforated like paper towels and seem huge, am I supposed to fold them, bunch them, or cut them in half to fit?  They also don't feel very soft.  I don't know what brand they are since it was just a few sheets ripped off, but are all brands scratchy, or are some softer?

  • I don't have a response, but I have a similar question.

When do you have to start doing something about the poop? We have just started to give DD solids, but she's more just playing with the textures and not much gets down the hatch. What happens if I just wash them until they get more firm?

  • They're not all that scratchy.  I really liked the Bummis Bio Soft Liners.  They are really soft and come in 2 sizes.  They are usually wider than the the actual diaper but I just tuck them in and it's all good.  I had some that were really scratchy and I never even used them - there was no way I was putting those up against my DS's bum! LOL
