Intro - Welcome Sarah Elizabeth

Hi everyone.  My lovebug - Sarah Elizabeth arrived yesterday after an induction at 40w3d.  My doctor decided to induce me after I passed out in her office on Monday morning and because of a couple other smallish problems (lowish fluid, high sugar levels...). 

I went in for an induction at 6:30 am on Tuesday and finally got hooked up to the pit at around 8:30 am.  Around 9:30 I felt my 1st contraction mild but bearable.  Things went pretty fast and I asked for an epidural around 10:15.  I finally got my Epi at 10:45 and it was wonderful.  At 12:15pm the nurse did a quick check since my doctor was about to head in for a C-Section.  I was already at a 10 and the baby was right there so the nurse  decided that we would have this baby right now.  3 pushes and 5 mins later Sarah Elizabeth was born at 12:30pm. She was 7lb 4oz and 19 inches long. 

Both Sarah and I are doing great.  I have almost no pain she is a champion nurser and is incredibly easy going.  Per my request we got discharged from the hospital after the mandatory 24 observation period and now we are relaxing at home, getting to know her, and letting big brother get used to his new sister. 

Congratulations to all the other Feb Lovebugs who are joining this board as well.

    Congrats!  I love her name!  But Elizabeth is also B's mn so I'm a little partial  Wink  I'm so jealous of how little you had to push!  So glad it went smoothly for you and there were no complications and that you're both doing well!

    First let me say congrats and I love your DD's name! 

    We have a Sarah Elizabeth too that was induced at 40w3d and born at 12:30 on the dot as well!
