So, the other day my MIL asked if she will be able to use sposies when she watches the baby. She hasn't said much about our decision to CD, but obviously doesn't want to participate. I love her dearly but will not be spending extra money on sposies for her occassional time alone with our LO. She asked me in front of our Bunco group and I just responded by saying we would have to talk about it later. Do I let her buy her own sposies or try to convert her with pockets??

My mom and MIL watch my LO 3-4 days a week when I'm at work. We started CDing at 4 months, so we still had leftover disposables from then. I told them when we first started that they were welcome to use the sposies instead, but I wasn't buying more when they ran out/my LO grew out of them So I suggested that they try to get used to the CD's.
My mom still makes nasty comments about the CDs all the time, but she does use them. I think she does it more because my MIL is really excited about them and she doesn't want to look bad compared to her. My mom always asks me why I don't keep sposies around "just in case". My reply: just in case of what? I always tell her she's welcome to buy some to use if she doesn't like the CD's but she hasn't done that yet.
My feeling is that this is my child and I think CD's are better for her, so that's what I prefer to use. However, I am grateful to have free childcare, so I don't want to force them to do something they aren't comfortable with.
