Microwave solids??

I just started giving baby solids and have been boiling the solids in hot water. I've heard from a few people that its' ok to microwave the food. Is this true? Thank you!

I hope so I do it for a couple seconds if it was in the fridge.

I'm going to sound like one of those nutty moms, but I wouldn't. Microwaves kill the digestive enzymes in food, and babies have a hard enough time with that sort of thing.

If its been in the fridge, I nuke it for 8 seconds to knock the chill off. If it hasn't been refrigerated, I serve at room temp.

what if it was frozen?

Sit the food (either the container it's frozen in, or the ice cube in a ziploc bag) in a bowl of hot water and it will thaw in ten minutes or so.
