So we just can NOT settle on a MN for Pearl. We just can't find anything that feel like a perfect fit. Since it's slow, I thought I'd post our list for your review. Vote for your favorite and be sure to leave comments as to why/more suggestions if you have any!

Re: MN for Pearl (CP)
First let me say how much I love Pearl!
I voted for Evangeline. I just think it goes great with Pearl and your boy choice of Rhett. My second pick is for Victoria. Louisa is my third, it's really growing on me.
I think Alexandra is a little too overdone for your tastes, Cecilia is just ok and I can't get past the alleged meaning. I dislike Helena because of pronunciation issues.
Love Louisa.
I have an eight year old niece that lives in British named Pearl. She's precious!
I voted for Louisa. The others sound too grandiose to go along with Pearl. Louisa, however, is another older sounding name so you might want something that is classic but not old enough to seem to be "making a come back" which is the category I'd put Pearl in. I think I'm second guessing my choice as I write this
.... hmmm.
ETA: I want to like Pearl Alexandra but I don't think it flows. I think I'd re-vote for Pearl Victoria even though that sounds rather regal.
Good luck choosing!
I voted for Louisa because it is pretty, underused, and old fashioned.
My second choice (but it would be the first choice for me) is Victoria because it is my mom's name. I was trying to be impartial when I voted
I think Pearl Victoria has the best flow.
Classic and timeless. Really lovely.

Pearl Victoria is just beautiful. Sounds like a character from a turn-of-the-century novel.
I like Louisa, but don't like how it runs together with Pearl. Also love Pearl Cecilia.
Thanks for all the input so far ladies! I really appreciate it--it helps me sort out my own feeling on each name. Here's my feelings (in case anyone wants to help me get over them, or reinforce them!)
I don't like the meaning of Cecilia AT ALL. I don't know how much that should matter... the first name Pearl hold a lot of special meaning for us, so we're ok with choosing a MN that just sounds pretty....but it still kind of bothers me that the meaning is negative...
I love the name Louisa, but I'm not sure how it sounds, with Pearl ending in L and Louisa starting with L. But it might not be that bad?
I really like Helena, and DH thinks it's great because he studies Greek, but I don't like that it's pronounced two different ways, and I'm not sure of the flow.
During church this evening, I was thinking about this, and it suddenly hit me that I think I like Evangeline the best of these options, but it's probably DH's least favorite from the list. I could probably talk him into it (I'm good that way), but I want him to love the name, you know? Do you think it's fair to talk someone into a name?
Alexandra is a name that DH's likes, and I think sounds really good with Pearl. I don't have much attachement to it beyond that.
ETA: I forgot VIctoria!...which pretty much sums up Victoria for me. I think it sounds pretty, but just in and of itself...I'm pretty "meh" on Victoria. Does it matter that I don't like the name by itself, even if I like the combination?
I voted for Pearl Evangeline. I also like Pearl Victoria, I think a longer mn would sound more beautiful than a shorter one.
What about Pearl Seraphine ? I love the meaning and Seraphine(a) it is our top first name for a future baby girl ( fingers crossed).
