I'm new to this board but I have a 9 month old and we are having sleep problems I should have started putting her in her crib a long time ago but she either sleep in her swing or on my chest all night. I'm breast feeding and she likes to nurse all night which is ok but Im a full time rn and need to get more sleep. We have started the crib and she seems to do better but our monitor just broke and waiting for the new one to come in so it's hard and she doesn't sleep in her pack n play. I would love if I could get her to sleep at least a good 5-6 hours before I have to get up and fed her. Any suggestions? I hate to Just let her lay in her crib and cry!
Re: Sleep issues
You first need to read some sleep training books and decide what process you think is best for you and your baby. I've read Healthy Sleep Habits, Baby Whisperer, Ferber's book... i feel like i've read them all. But yes, if you're up all night and she needs you to fall back asleep, then you need to do something and sleep train her. I recommend doing it now because the older the get, the tougher it is. Good luck!
