My friend's daughter turns 11 today. She pinned a cute pair of wedges on Pinterest recently and my friend said that she is really liking wedges right now so I'd like to find her a pair for her b-day. I'm going to stop by Target and look. They have some cute ones in girls' sizes. She wears a 6 in womens... Nordstrom's website says that this is a size 4 in girls (I think- my computer is acting up today and all images are red X's). Does this sound right?
Re: girls/womens shoe sizes
I think my shoe size was pretty close to what it is now when I was around 11. That is, I didn't wear "girls size" shoes, I wore regular adult sizes. Is there some reason you wouldn't get her a pair of size 6 womens shoes?
You could always compare adult vs. kid size shoes by holding them up to each other in the store, too.

All of the wedges I have found in women's sizes are either low heel but old lady looking or very high heel that isn't appropriate for a 11 year old. lol

I wore a size 5, women's, in the 2nd grade.
I can still wear my size 4, light up sole, LA Gear's from fourth grade. It's sad really.

I assume by "sad" you actually mean "so RAD!"
