For dinner last night, we had this brisket with bourbon-peach glaze, with sides of potato gratin and sauteed Brussels sprouts (my own recipe). DH and I both declared it the best meal that's ever come out of our home kitchen. It's taking all my willpower today to keep from gorging myself on leftover brisket sandwiches.
The brisket's a lot of work, but you can make it ahead and it serves a lot of people (or makes a lot of leftovers, in our case), so it's ideal for a dinner party or something similar.
Spectacularly yummy. I wish I could attach a plate of sample bites to this post!
