VBAC

New to VBAC board!

HI, this is my second child and the first one was 10 weeks early due to my placenta abrupting, therefore having an emergency C-Section. It was very scary cuz they thought I lost her & then they couldnt get my bleeding to stop. I really want to have a VBAC this time around. Anyone else have this happen before as well?

  • Wow, that sounds like a very scary experience.  I'm glad your daughter pulled through.

I am in the opposite position, DD was induced at 42 weeks because I had 0% effacement and 0cm dilation.

I think the biggest challenge for you will be where your c-section incision was made.  I remember reading somewhere that the earlier the delivery, the smaller your uterus is.  I think that means your scar is higher, which makes you a higher risk for VBAC.  Talk with your doctor.

    And Welcome!

  • Yikes!  What a scary thing to go through!  Glad you both made it!  My c/s was due to fetal distress and failure to progress (both of which I don't think we true at the time).  I hope you are able to find some support here!
