Cloth Diapering

Cloth Diapers and Snuza Monitor?

Has anybody on here used the snuza halo monitor with cloth diapers? The monitor has awesome reviews but the reviews don't say whether they are using cloth diapers or disposables. I am a FTM and both cloth diapers and this monitor are really important to me! But if I had to choose between them I would definitely choose the monitor. I dont want to buy a bunch of cloth diapers if the monitor won't work with them. I have debated just using desposable diapers when baby is sleeping, like during nap time and overnight if the monitor wont work with cloth. Maybe I am putting too much thought into this, anyways just wondering if anyone has tried the snuza?

Thanks!

  • I asked about this before here and people said they used the monitor just fine with their cloth diapers.

  • I have used my Snuza Go with our cloth diaper with no problems.

  • Just had to look up this Snuza monitor....interesting...

It looks like it doesn't really matter what kind of diaper you use.

My LO would have that off and in her mouth in about 8 seconds.  I guess its probably best for the first few months.

  • I have the Snuza Halo.  V came home from the NICU at 4lbs 5oz, so at that weight the cds and the snuza combined were way too much bulk.  Once she hit about 7lbs it was fine.  With some diapers you may have to put the snuza off to one side instead of in the center, but it works just fine.

  • We use the Snuza and have trouble sometimes, but it usually works.  We have to do PF and a cover at night so that the Snuza clips on just the cover.  And, there's one specific cover we usually use because the Snuza stays on best.

I'm not sure if it would be easier with disposables, but DD wiggles around a lot in her sleep and about once a week the Snuza comes loose and the alarm goes off.
