Before I left for the funeral home I typed my earlier post (so this is what loss feels like). It makes me feel alot better to see women who have gone through it. My husband is talking about a grief counselor but to talk to ya'll on here is so helpful. I got my signature changed hopefully I will see it in this post. Thank you I have decided my moto for awhile will be one hour at a time.

It's true- there are far fewer resources for grieving dads. My H comes to a support group with me. He's definitely in the minority. Sometimes he doesn't want to go and says he wants to be "done with it". But then something good or meaningful happens at group & he's glad he went. He admits it's a good place for him to go because he can actually talk about it there unlike IRL. I mean, if no one wants to hear about it from the bereaved mother, who's gonna want to hear it from the dad?
I started going to a grief counselor a week and half after my DD died. DH went with me to support me and he did find some support to. But my DH isn't a talker like me so he doesn't go anymore he did in the beginning.
Your motto is great one hour at a time. So true.
Hugs to you!!
