Hello bumpies, I live in the Ann Arbor area. I am having trouble TTC and my primary doc won't refer me to an OBGYN or RE. I am very unhappy with my treatment in her care, and am looking for a new primary doc who will work with me and understand my goals for my healthcare. I have an HMO through BCN, so I need to declare my new primary care physician before I can see them. Please rec yours, because names on a list don't give any indication of the kind of care they give. TIA!

Re: Ann Arbor Area--rec your Primary Doc
I could be wrong on this, so you should double check, but I'm pretty sure that you don't need a referral for an obgyn. I only just started using an HMO a couple months ago (BCN, as well), though, so I may not know what I'm talking about. You probably would need a referral for an RE, though, and I'm not sure if you could get that referral from your obgyn or if it would need to come from the primary care doc.
I can't give you any specific names, because I go to the Canton office, but I have never heard anything bad about the IHA. They have offices in AA, Canton, Plymouth, and I think Brighton, too.
