CD and Daycare

We finally nailed down our daycare this weekend.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?

Well, when I brought up the subject of CDing, she got a very scared look on her face and said that she didn't have any experience with them.  I asked her what she thought they were before I pulled a FB out of my purse and just as I thought she would, she referenced a prefold and safety pins.

She was so surprised when she saw the FB and was so excited about how cute it was! SCORE!  She is totally on board and willing to do what ever we need her to with them!! Yay!

Yay! When I was pregnant, several people told me that CDing was against regulations in our state, and no daycare would do it. Wrong! Both of the centers we looked at accepted them, and recently my local CD swap group posted a list of CD-friendly daycares in our area - there were 15 of them!

I made sure to always bring a diaper with me when touring daycares. They need to see what you're talking about or they freak.

My daycare was more than willing to use my CD's.  The director was very excited and told me that she wished more people still used CD's.  Then we had this big conversation about how good CD's were for the baby and environment and your pocket book.
