I have another quick question! How often do you check your bp at home? My dr said it was important to do so (though Joey has to do it, we don't have an auto one) but I never asked how often.

I do it once a day, pretty much whenever I remember (usually in the evening).  If I start to feel crummy, though, I'll take it just to be safe.    I think the auto ones can be really off -- mine is all over the place -- so it is better to have Joey do it anyway!
