Girl sibling name

DD1's name is Madeline Elise. Rhyming, staying with the same amount of letters or style isn't really that important to me, but I would like the names to kind of flow when saying them together. I don't want them to be one from right field and the other from left...

We have a few names in mind, but aren't set on any in particular. I want to hear your suggestions.

  • I love the name Caroline, but my concern with that is DD1 is pronounced Made-lyn, but spelled -line. I would want Caroline pronounced -line.

    Is this too confusing?

    As for other suggestions:

    Claire- my sisters name

Meredith & Emily are 2 of our 3. Other is Camille!

Lucy is my dogs name so that's out! LOL!

I LOVE Amelia, but that is a good friend's girls name!

    thanks for all the suggestions!!

  • Madeline and Sophia and Madeline and Isabel were the first names to come to mind.

You could also do Genevieve, which sort of evokes the French theme, or Eloise, to follow a children's lit theme (Madeline and Eloise might just be my new fave).

  • I wouldn't worry about pronunciation. There's really only one pronunciation for both of those names (the one you like), in spite of their spelling. If you like Caroline, it's as simple as not spelling it Carolyn to get the 'ine' sound at the end. Personally, I think they sound fantastic together.
