Red hot cheeks and ears

Does anyone have a child that gets red hot cheeks and ears? DS has had this issue for years, he is 3 and is now on an elimination diet and goes for skin testing on Thursday. My DD is 6 months old and just started with the same thing, she gets a red hot cheek or ear, but I can't seem to link it with a particular food. I know oatmeal has gluten and would love to have her eat just rice but she gets so constipated. She has started with ezcema patches which DS used to get to. Does anyone have experience with this?
