Late Term and Child Loss

Any 17P users here??

What did you do with the extra medicine after your loss??? I have a very expensive vial sitting in the fridge with 8 doses left. I feel bad throwing it out, but what else is there to do?

Can you donate it???? Give it to the doctor???? Give it away????

Re: Any 17P users here??

  • I use that now and did with DS, too.  I imagine it's just like any other prescription med, where you can't give it away.  I would feel bad throwing that much away also!  I think I'll have 2 doses left over when I'm done this time, and it seems like such a waste.  It's very expensive, and I know not every pharmacy even carries it.  I had to find a local special pharmacy that carries things like this.  I would probably call the doctor or the pharmacy and see what you can do with it.

  • My OB gave me a half-used vial when I was pg with Quincy.  I had just moved and was new to his practice and he just handed it to me and didn't bill me. Maybe call your OB and see if they can take it? I would hate to throw it away too and it might help someone else.

  • I would give it away.  I do that with my leftover meds for fertility.
