this baby will probably be our only child together. DH has a 13 year old son from his first marriage. DH is almost 43... and i think he thinks he's getting too old for any more children. lolllllllllllll. plus, i can't fathom how we would afford more than one.

But we'll probably only do IVF one more time.  So if we get twins, we'll adopt the last one (or possibly two) and if we get another singleton we'll adopt two more at the end.  Either seperately or a sibling group.

We are seriously thinking this will be our one and only, but we may decide to have one more. For us, I think one would be perfectly fine, but then i feel a little bad that my little girl would not have a sibling.

I think it's important for a child to have siblings, but that allure of having only 1 child is definitely strong!! So I'm undecided...

LOL Good luck with that, you might still be going after 4 more! My BFF is having her 5th girl in about a week. They can afford maybe one child, and are already talking about trying again for a boy.

This is a topic of much debate in my house.  DH keeps saying this one (#2)is it.  I've always wanted 3 and would go to 4 to get at least one of each sex.  I think he will be more open to more if #2 is another girl, b/c he def wants a son at some point.

Healthy first BUT 2 if the next one is a girl, three if we have another boy...

(I half jokingly told DH that is when we would get pg with twin boys!!)

We always said 4 kids. So, we're still keeping our options open. This is #3 for us. 3 kids in 3 years is a LOT to handle. We didn't realize that we are that fertile, so we need to be able to handle all these kids emotionally. If I don't become a wreck after this one, then we're having 1 more! LOL!
