? for Apple gurus and Apple TV

Thinking about getting apple TV. From what I understand I can watch anything I've bought/rented on itunes through this box and it even has netflix available on it. Anyone know if I can watch a movie that is in iTunes but not physically on my iPad if I'm at home on the wireless connection? Can this be done with cloud? My OS on the iMac is old so I haven't really been able to take advantage of cloud yet. My Ipad is full so I'm wondering if I'm at home if we could watch movies we've bought but aren't physically on the ipad.

Re: ? for Apple gurus and Apple TV

  • Yup you sure can. It is a great little box that I love!
  • Loading the player...
  • Thanks! I'll probably buy one. I can see us using this instead of buying DVD's in the future.
  • I love our Apple tv.  We are able to access all our movies and music this way and its great.  You can also watch Netflix Instant Streaming through it if you are a Netflix subscriber.  We've had 2 different models and they keep getting better.  Depending on your "need" for the most up to date technology, you may want to wait a little bit.  My husband says there is a new one being announced soon (March?).

Looked it up and did read some of those rumors. Since the current apple tv came out in Sept. 2010, it's about time they upgrade. I will probably wait to see what they announce in March.
