How often does you LO wake at night?

DS starting sleeping through the night at about 4 months and did so for about 3 weeks until he got sick.  He was sick for about 3 weeks, one week pretty nasty where he would wake himself up coughing.  Now he is well, but still waking up at least 2 times, sometimes 3 to eat.  We have started him on veggies to "fill him up," but that doesn't seem to help either.  He nurses/gets a bottle 6 - 7 times during the day and is still up at night.  He isn't a big baby either - 4 mo appt 25% in weight and 95% in length.  Help!!!

  • ALL the FREAKIN' TIME! And it sucks! We still have yet to get a full nights sleep and she's going to be 6 months old tomorrow. She still hasn't slept through the night. Last night was particularly horrible, She was up every hour and sometimes every half hour. We're exhausted. She all happy. I don't see how she can be, she didn't sleep much either.

  • Pretty much every 3-4 hours still, so 2-3 times a night. I'm not really worried about it, and neither is my pedi. I'm exhausted, but so is every other mother!
  • About 2 or 3 times a night but last night he STTN again. I'm hoping this means that the 4mw is finally ending!

  • J was also sleeping through the night until she got the stomach flu. Now she wakes 2-3 times. We don't feed her. Just replace the pacifier and sometimes turn on the mobile and she goes back to sleep. Annoying but manageable.

  • Also 2-3 times a night

  • Our daughter still wakes anywhere from 2-6 times a night, in a 12 hour span. Considering she used to wake 8+ times in 8 hours, I won't complain. We're still moving in the right direction. She is back to fighting sleep for both naps & bedtime, but I am hoping these issues will work themselves out over time.

  • 2-3 times a night (around 10, 1 and 4).  I'm tired but not too worried.  My other two eventually gave up the night feedings on their own when they were about 8 months old.

  • 2 times a night between 7pm and 6am.  I wish it were 1 but she eats fully at both and be so distracted during the day so I'm not pushing it yet.
  • Audrey gets up 1 time, a few nights/week.  I just nurse her and put her back to bed.

  • Thank you for all of the replies.  Guess I'm not the only one up at night.  I can't remember what DS#1 did at this age.  I'm just sad that he was doing so well before he got sick.

  • DD averages 2-4 times a night.  She is still eating 9-10 times in a 24 hour time period.

I am definitely ready for her to start spacing feedings out, but she doesn't seem anywhere close!
