Do you or your DH have a tattoo relating to your LO? BF wants to get one with a cross, her name and DOB but to me the cross indicates it is in her memory...am I wrong?
We're researching a memorial tattoo but don't plan on using a cross. I think a cross could symbolize being blessed if you wanted... not necessarily memorial but that's the first thing I think of too. We're probably going to do her name and birthday in roman numerals. But ours is a memorial tattoo.

Ideas for a tattoo?
It could. By brother has a cross with my cousin's name who passed away a few years ago.
DH used to want to do a footprint and the DOB, but I steered him away from that. My thinking was if we had 2 (which we now do), he'd have to do the same thing and find another spot on his body to put it on, and he only had a few places that he would consider getting a tattoo.
I'm trying to convince him to just get the zodiac sign for each girl somewhere on his body. That's a smaller symbol so it would take up less real estate.
What about her newborn handprint or footprint and her name or something?
This is what my husband did- her footprint with her name down one said of it and her birthdate down the other. I don't think the birthdate makes it a memorial tattoo, in fact most people comment on how much they like it.
ETA- the cross on the other hand would make me think it was a memorial tattoo. To each his own though!

I suggested a hand/foot print tattoo but he rejected my idea- I think because so many do that these days? This coming from the guy that wants the longhorn symbol on his calf....go figure. Now if I can get a picture of DD with her hand in the hook 'em sign I might have a winner! lol

Ditto.
My DD's name is a flower. I plan on getting that flower tattoo. Hoping DH gifts that to me for Mother's Day.
