AW Baby's First Snow

Unbeknownst to us, it started snowing here.  We didn't realize it until we tried to order pizza and were told the roads were too icy for delivery (even though we've barely had an inch so far and won't get much more).  DH is grumpy because he's not getting the pizza he had his heart set on.  Meanwhile, I'm sitting here wracking my brain as to how we can safely commemorate and document baby's first snow.

I don't think there's going to be enough for a snowman otherwise we'd make one and take a picture.  We could bundle him up in the car seat and take a picture in the morning before it all melts.  I don't want him out in 30 degree weather for very long, but I want to record it somehow, especially since we don't get much snow in NC.

What would you ladies do?

Re: AW Baby's First Snow

  • You could bundle LO up an lay them in the snow for a quick picture :) I keep reminding myself that Eskimos have babies too.

  • Just take a quick picture with baby out in the snow.  As long as he is bundled, you are fine.  Sometimes DD would gasp and squeek when I would take her outside (and she was even older bc born in Sept - so 3-6 months old), but DS hasn't seemed bothered at all from breathing in the cold air.  The time it takes for you to get a picture is going to be less than people in cold states take to walk across the parking lot, so don't worry about it.
