I don't have it. But I did have itching in my hands and feet and they immediately sent me for a Liver Function Test. They just took a vial of blood and ran tests on it. My results came back fine but they are doing an ultrasound on my liver and gallbladder to be sure.
I'm not sure that helps you at all.

I have it. Got dx at 30w within 2 days of itching. Mostly hand and feet (palms and soles), but generalized trunk itching too. Had liver and bile tests that confirmed, it was very mild though. Bile number was 13 (0-10 is normal). On Ursodiol immediately, itching pretty much went away after week, liver numbers are only alittle elevated. Delivering no later than 37w because of it, also am monitored with twice weekly NST's (not only because of this) but also because of gestational hypertension. It does suck! Hopefully they caught it early, it's dangerous to the baby if bile number is over 40 according to my doc.
Twins born at 34w2d, Allison, 3lb,4oz-Ethan, 4lb7oz, both 16 1/2 inches. Out of Difficulties Grow Miracles
I was tested for it, but it came out negative. Instead I have the pleasure of dealing with PUPPS. The doctor said what PP said...medication, early delivery, etc. The most common sympton is itching of hands and feet.

Pupps is better than cholestasis because it's not potentially dangerous for the baby. I wish I had that instead honestly (basically if I had a choice)...even though it sucks arse...

I was tested for this. My doctor ordered a bile acids test for me which I did the same day as my GTT. My results came back fine, but if they had been elevated the course of treatment described above is what my doctor was going to do. He emphasized induction at 37 weeks because babies that are delivered much after that point when the mom is effected by cholestasis have a higher rate of stillbirth.
My symptoms were INTENSE feet/leg itching, as well as my arms. It was pretty awful itching, and the was the only symptom I had.
As it turned out, I had a skin allergy to the products I was using. Good luck to you... I hope you don't have cholestasis.
I was diagnosed at 30w with my first. I had HORRIFIC itching on my feet. Enough so I had scabs and open cuts from scratching. I was put on Ursodiol and within a couple weeks the itching went away. It was bad enough that I literally slept for an hour a night at most, started having hallucinations, and passed out form being so exhausted.
I havn't had any symptoms yet, and am praying I am in the 10-30% that don't get it with recurring pregnancies....
